In English, to be "of sound mind" is short, but it doesn't come out quite like that in Spanish.I would suggest:
"usted cree que el testigo se econtraba 'en uso pleno de sus facultades mentales' en el momento de firmar el contrato?

A shorter (but less desirable) version would be:
"usted cree que el testigo se encontraba 'en su juicio' en el momento de firmar el contrato?"

I'd go for the first option, if I were you.

Sano juicio


Explanation:
En España se dice de una persona que está en su "sano juicio" cuando está en pleno uso de sus facultades mentales.

Quizá por eso en tu contexto se pregunta si el testigo estaba en su sano juicio cuando firmó el contrato.

Lo dicho: "sano juicio"
