I have been working as an in-house and freelance translator and interpreter (consecutive and simultaneous) in industry for over 25 years.
Over the last 15 years I have specialised particularly in industrial engineering - with all the associated commercial, technical and legal aspects.
Native British English speaker, but have lived and worked in the Netherlands and Germany for the last 25 years.
BA (Hons.) in German and Dutch Language and Literature from the University of London, followed by Post-Graduate Diploma in Vocational Language Techniques from the University of Kent in Canterbury.
In 2002 I translated the book “100 Years of Speedometers – History and Future of Driver Information Systems” that SiemensVDO published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the invention of the speedometer into English.
In 2002 I also translated several chapters of the SiemensVDO book “Internal Combustion Engines: Principles, Components, Systems, Perspectives” into English.
