Sharing experience and passing on best practices: where do they lead? To fruitful networking with colleagues? Or to losing your competitive advantage by giving away your secrets? I have never felt the threat of the second – but rather enjoyed the first, as a teacher at university, conference speaker, and trainer through the web.
University teaching experience
I taught scientific terminology and translation (English<>Hungarian) to groups of undergraduate students with a scientific translation minor and a mathematics or physics major (Eötvös University, Budapest, between 1996 and 2001).

Webinars
As part of the first Solidarités internship program, I provided a comprehensive set of training sessions to Solidarités' interns, Daniel Weston and William McNab, as well as other members of the Solidarités team between September and November 2009. The following topics were covered:

Each training session lasted between 2 and 3 hours. The sessions were webinars; the audience could see my computer screen in a browser window, and thus follow all the manipulations with the programs in real time, while listening to the explanations.
