Separate Circuit Cooling System
In the separate circuit cooling system, the left side water pump (14) pulls coolant from the heat exchanger through coolant inlet (13).
Coolant from the left side water pump goes to oil cooler bonnet (15).
Coolant flow is divided at the oil cooler bonnet.
Part of the coolant is sent to oil coolers (9) while most of the coolant is sent to aftercoolers (4).
Coolant from the aftercoolers and oil coolers goes through mixer housing (2) and coolant outlet (3) to the heat exchanger.
There is a makeup line from the expansion tank to coolant inlet (13) to help keep the coolant in the oil cooler and aftercooler circuit at the correct level.
A customer installed vent line is required between the top of the mixer housing (2) and the expansion tank for the aftercooler and oil cooler.
Jacket Water Cooling System
The right side water pump (11) pulls water from the expansion tank through coolant inlet (12).
Coolant from the right side water pump goes to both sides of the cylinder block through elbows (10 and 16).
The coolant flows up through the water jackets and around the cylinder liners from the bottom to the top.
Near the top of the cylinder liners, where the temperature is the hottest, the water jacket is made smaller.
This shelf (smaller area) causes the coolant to flow faster for better liner cooling.
Coolant from the top of the liners goes into the cylinder head which sends the coolant around the parts where the temperature is the hottest.
Coolant then goes to the top of the cylinder head and out through an elbow, one at each cylinder head, into water manifolds (8) at each bank of cylinders.
Coolant then goes through the manifolds to coolant outlet (1).
The coolant leaves the outlet and goes through a remote mounted water temperature regulator and the heat exchanger and back to the expansion tank.
Coolant is sent from a water jacket at the rear of the cylinder block through tubes (7) to turbochargers (6).
Coolant from the turbochargers is returned to the cylinder block through tubes (5).
A customer installed vent line is required between the top of the turbocharger water jacket to the expansion tank for the jacket water system.

În sistemul de răcire cu circuit separat, pompa de apă din stânga (14) trage lichidul de răcire din schimbătorul de căldură prin priza de lichid de răcire (13).
De la pompa de apă din stânga, lichidul de răcire trece în mantaua răcitorului de ulei (15).
Din mantaua răcitorului de ulei fluxul de lichid de răcire se împarte.
O parte din lichidul de răcire este trimisă la răcitoarele de ulei (9) iar cea mai mare parte este trimisă la răcitoarele finale (4).
Lichidul de răcire din răcitoarele finale şi răcitoarele de ulei trece prin carcasa amestecătorului (2) şi prin orificiul de evacuare (3) spre schimbătorul de căldură.
De la rezervorul de detentă până la priza de lichid de răcire (13) există o linie de compensare pentru a menţine la nivelul corect lichidul de răcire din circuitul răcitorului de ulei şi al răcitorului final.
Între partea superioară a carcasei amestecătorului (2) şi rezervorul de detentă al răcitorului final şi al răcitorului de ulei utilizatorul trebuie să instaleze o linie de aerisire.
Sistemul de răcire cu apă prin manta
Pompa de apă din dreapta (11) trage apa din rezervorul de detentă prin priza de lichid de răcire (12).
Lichidul de răcire de la pompa de apă din dreapta trece în ambele părţi ale blocului motor prin tuburile cotite (10 şi 16).
Lichidul de răcire curge în sus prin mantalele de apă şi în jurul cămăşilor cilindrilor de jos în sus.
Aproape de partea superioară a cămăşilor cilindrilor, unde temperatura este cea mai ridicată, mantaua de apă este micşorată.
Acest prag (secţiune mai mică) face ca lichidul de răcire să curgă mai repede pentru o mai bună răcire a cămăşii.
Din partea superioară a cămăşilor, lichidul de răcire trece în chiulasă, care trimite lichidul în jurul pieselor unde temperatura este cea mai ridicată.
Apoi lichidul de răcire trece la partea superioară a chiulasei şi iese printr-un tub cotit, câte unul la fiecare cap de cilindru, în colectoarele de apă (8) ale fiecărui grup de cilindri.
Lichidul de răcire trece apoi prin colectoare la orificiul de evacuare (1).
Lichidul de răcire părăseşte orificiul de evacuare şi trece printr-un regulator al temperaturii apei montat la distanţă, apoi prin schimbătorul de căldură şi înapoi în rezervorul de detentă.
Lichidul de răcire este trimis dintr-o manta de apă de la spatele blocului motor prin tuburile (7) la turbinele de alimentare (6).
De la turbinele de alimentare, lichidul de răcire este întors la blocul motor prin tuburile (5).
Între partea superioară a mantalei de apă a turbinei de alimentare şi rezervorul de detentă al sistemului mantalei de apă utilizatorul trebuie să instaleze o linie de aerisire.
