I obtained my Medical Degree in my native country, the Dominican Republic, and practiced there as a physician for several years until I moved to the United States, where I have been living since 1998.
For the last five years I’ve been working as a Freelance Translator and Interpreter, specializing in medical and health related work.
My first-hand knowledge of English and Spanish medical terminology and language, combined with an excellent knowledge of Spanish grammar and orthographic rules, allows me to deliver medical translations that are accurate, precise and of the highest quality.
I have experience translating handwritten medical records from Spanish into English, and even though English is not my native language, it is my opinion that in these cases is better to have a Spanish native-speaker who has medical knowledge doing the translation, since it's very hard and time consuming to try and translate something that you can't clearly read when you don't have any idea of what a word may be.
