Translation as a profession is new to me. I have decided to offer my services now after having translated internally during my 35 years of work in the computer/networking industry.
When I refer to 'me', actually I should also include my wife. We work closely toghether as a team. Her native languages are Arabic and French, mine is Norwegian. We are both proficient in English, and I have a good standing in German.
My wife has a PhD in social sciences, and she has been working in this field for 20 years. I have been working in the field of computers and networks for 35 years, for the last 10 years in an environment of high-tech electronics and mechatronics development.
We both have some time on our hands and we have state-of-the-art computer and networking enviroment available. Taking advantage og ProZ's group buy, we have invested in SDL Trados 2007 Freelance, and we are now working hard to learn how to utilize this in the best way.
