Fini les craies, le chiffon poussiéreux ? Le tableau noir de l'écolier pourrait laisser place à un tableau interactif qui fonctionne simplement à l'aide d'un stylo électronique et d'un écran. On peut s'en servir comme d'un tableau normal, le stylet remplaçant la craie. On peut également y projeter des infos pêchées directement sur l'Internet : cartes, photos, graphiques illustrent ainsi les cours facilement. « C'est assez spectaculaire, indique Jean-Paul Boidin, principal du collège Pierre-Bertone à Antibes. Les collégiens tracent, entourent ou soulignent avec leur doigt sur le tableau. Grâce à l'aspect ludique, tout le monde veut répondre. »
Dernier avantage, alors qu'autrefois les leçons étaient effacées, elles sont désormais stockées informatiquement, et donc réutilisables. « Les enfants malades ou handicapés peuvent même travailler chez eux avec l'aide des cours disponibles sur l'Internet », indique Marie-Ange Arnoux, professeur d'algorithmique à Dijon. Comme dans un jeu télévisé, les élèves disposent aussi de « boîtiers-vote » afin de répondre directement au tableau. Environ 500 établissements primaires et secondaires disposent aujourd'hui de ce tableau révolutionnaire.

هل انتهى زمن التباشير والمساحة المليئة بالغبار؟
ان سبورة المدرسة السوداء، سوف تستبدل بالسبورة الفعالة الإلكترونية والتي تعمل بواسطة القلم والشاشة الإلكترونية.
وستستعمل مثل السبورة العادية، فقط سيستبدل التباشير بالقلم الإكتروني (ستايليس). ويمكن العرض عليها بكل بساطة المعلومات من الأنترنت مباشرة: الخرايط،، الصور، الوسايل التوضيحية والدروس ايضا.
قال جون بول بودان، مدير مدرسة بيير بيرتون في بلدة انتيب في فرنسا. " هذا شئ رائع؛ يستطيع الطلاب ان يرسموا باصبعهم على السبورة؛ يضعوا دائرة او خط تحت الكلمة."
سابقا كان الدرس يمسح اما الآن فان السبورة السحرية تخزن الدرس الكترونيا وبذلك يمكن اعادته في وقت لاحقا." حتى الأطفال المرضى او المعاقين يستطيعوا ان يدرسوا من منازلهم من الدروس المتوفرة عبر الإنترنت." قال ماري انج ارنو: "ويجاوبوا عليها فورا على السبورة." ان حوالي 500 مدرسة ابتدائية ومتوسطة تستخدم الآن هذه السبورة والتي ستحدث انقلابا في التقنية التعليمية.

Overview
Redesigning a failing school, although an extremely difficult task, need not be an impossible one - especially if schools and teachers aren't forced to start from scratch. As detailed earlier in this section, the first step is to identify the school's particular strengths, weaknesses, and most pressing needs through internal and external audits. The second is to look for solutions among the replicable, research-based programs that have a record of success in similar situations. And the third is to develop a fair and effective process that allows staff to choose among the various programs.
