平成18年4月18日
1. わが国が昨年6月に草の根・人間の安全保障無償資金協力による支援を決定したムサンナー県スウェイル（サマーワの東約15キロメートル）の北側に位置するムタワグ・アル・チバシ道路の一部（約6.7キロメートル）の改修工事が完了したことを受けて、4月18日（水曜日）、現地ムタワグ橋において竣工式が行われ、イラク側よりムサンナー県およびスウェイル町市関係者、わが国よりサマーワ外務省事務所および陸上自衛隊の関係者が出席した。

1. تم إتمام أعمال الإصلاحات في جزء من طريق متوج الطباشي (حوالي 6.7كيلومتر) الذي يقع في الجانب الشمالي من مدينة السوير (شرقي مدينة السماوة بحوالي 15كيلو متر) بمحافظة المثنى التي منحتها الحكومة اليابانية دعماً مالياً غير مردود في شهر يونيو من العام الماضي لتأمين سلامة المواطنين وفي يوم الأربعاء الموافق18 من شهر أبريل وعلى جسر المتوج بالمنطقة أقيمت مراسم افتتاح الطريق الذي حضره من الجانب العراقي مسؤولون من محافظة المثنى ومدينة السويركما حضر من الجانب الياباني مسؤلون من مكتب وزارة الخارجية بسماوة ومسؤولون من القوات البرية لقوات الدفاع الذاتي.
