We expect that accountants perform their duties with impartiality, that is, without bias. All financial documentation must be prepared by qualified accountants who are independent of the applicants and any businesses included in the visa application concerned and for this purpose, the accountants are not considered independent if they have a material direct or indirect financial interest in the subject matter. An obvious example will be the practice of contingent fee arrangement relating to either an assurance engagement or a non-assurance service provided to a client, a matter of which constitutes an identified threat to independence. To address the above, a reporting accountant is required to submit an independence declaration set out on page 26 to be attached to all limited audit and special purpose reports provided to this office. I was born in Shanghai and my native language is Chinese. My current residence is in Sydney, Australia where I practice as an accredited translator (English<-->simplified Chinese)and intepreter(English<-->Mandarin).
I did a postgraduate course in translation and intpereting after obtaining a master's degree in logistics management in Sydney.
My Bachelor's degree was in English language and literuature from a top university in China where I also minored in international buisness laws and French.
I have been translating for more than 7 years in various professional contexts.
I translate both business and legal documents including service agreements, loan contracts, company articles of association, shareholder agreements, company profiles, business operation licenses, property ownership certificates, tax reports, court orders, statutary declarations etc..
I also work as an intepreter at conferences, court hearings, legal consultations, medical appointments etc.
As I freelanced over the past few years, I had the opportunity to be also engaged in other types of businessess and industries. I've had personal experince in and contact with such industries as publishing, import and export, retail, hospitality, immigration service, business consulting etc. This has extended my knowledge and scope of expertise.
