这次伊朗总统大选，一度因为首次引进“美式辩论”引发各界关注。
6月2日起，候选人先后举行6场电视辩论，出场顺序通过抽签决定，这在伊朗30年来还是首次。
最主要的竞争双方，是奉行强硬路线的现任总统内贾德与温和派前总理穆萨维。
选举在伊朗国内、尤其是年轻人群中引发巨大反响。
竞选期间，青年们每天晚聚集在广场上，高呼支持穆萨维的口号，甚至开着汽车向人群宣传。

Iranian general election disappoints the West; Ahmadinejad’s reelection unsurprising
According to a June 15th report from www.chinanews.com.cn, the Iranian general election was held on June 12th, with the Election Commission announcing the victory of incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on June 13th.. Since June 13th, supporters of Ahmadinejad’s opponent, Seyed Ali Moosavi, have held demonstrations in the streets of Tehran, protesting that the Nejad authority had “ cheated ” in the election, causing the biggest riots the country has seen since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
The demonstrations have spread to many cities in Iran, and the police have arrested 170 people.
This Iranian presidential election drew attention from all quarters by introducing “US-style debates” for the first time.
Beginning on June 2nd, the candidates engaged in six televised debates, with the order of their appearance determined by the drawing of lots. This was the first time this had occurred in Iran in the past 30 years.
The two main opponents included current hard-line President Ahmadinejad and former moderate Prime Minister Seyed Ali Moosavi.
The election drew a massive response among the people of Iran, particularly young people.
During the election, youths gathered in public squares every night, shouting slogans in support of Seyed Ali Moosavi, even promoting Moosavi to the people from cars.
In their opinion, Moosavi would "bring freedom” to them and was the only person who could “beat Ahmadinejad”.
The supporters of Ahmadinejad were from the poorer areas of the cities or the countryside. Some young men who did not wish to “submit” to the West also supported Ahmadinejad. |

About me
I am a little different from the other freelances in some aspects:
1. Unlike a lot of freelances you can find on the Internet, I provided detailed personal information, including my home address. By doing this, I am assuring you that if there is a problem with my services, you can always find me.
2. Say no to outsourcers. When I do not have the ability to do the job, I will say no even if I have been offered one. When I am not available to do the job, or will not be able to finish it before the deadline, I will say no.
It is true that I have lost some projects because of saying no to the outsourcers, but I will continue to do this because it is my principle, and the principle of a professional freelance translator.
3. I have an editor and proofreader who offers her services to me free of charge. It is my wife, who is also a bachelor degree holder in English and a TEM8 (Test for English Majors Band 8, the highest in China) certificate holder (me too!). So we have a lot in common.:-) This is not important to you. What might be interested to you are:
A. The translations I submit to you have been edited and proofread by another translator to ensure better quality. Not all the translators in the web have this advantage. In fact, they should have one. That is what editor and proofreader are for.
B. As the service is provided to me free of charge, I am in a position to quote a lower rate, which reduces your cost.
So as a freelance, I am very lucky to have a wife who is a part time translator. As an outsourcer, you should be happy to have 2 translators working for you at the cost of one translator.
To end users
There is no need to get another proofreader to proofread my translation. The translation has been proofread by an independent proofreader who is also an experienced translator and who has been working collaboratively with me.
