Lyon a de tout temps été particulièrement liée à la Chine. Le commerce de la soie hier, le développement de nouveaux secteurs économiques au cours du 20e siècle ont permis de continuer à tisser les liens d’une relation pérenne. Cependant, rares sont les industriels français qui ont bénéficié de l’aura de Paul Berliet en République Populaire de Chine.

De 1959 à 1974, la République populaire de Chine achète 11 250 véhicules lourds à Berliet.

À l’heure de la retraite, le départ de Paul Berliet de Renault Véhicules Industriels, n’a pas marqué de rupture avec « ses vieux amis ». Outre les relations de confiance qu’il a conservé avec des personnalités chinoises, il est l’une des treize personnalités françaises invitée en 1992 au Chinese concil for the promotion of international trade (CCPIT) qui lui remet, en 1998, la distinction de « Membre d’honneur » en reconnaissance de son rôle de précurseur. Seuls deux français ont reçu ce titre, lui et Bernard de Gaulle.

Being a Translator and Interpreter since 2005, I have done various interpretations in French, Cantonese, Mandarin and English at diverse contexts such as business meetings, international fairs, business visit, arts and culture events, etc. I have also done some translation and subtitling work (French, Chinese and English) when I worked at/with the French community in Hong Kong. For instance, I did a subtitle translation from Cantonese and English into French for the documentary produced by l'Alliance Française this year. I am a regular Translator for the French community in Hong Kong and of a local Garment Company. Given that the number of interpretation job is very limited by my geographic location, I would like very much to devote my time to doing more translation work.

I'm responsible, efficient and organised and I'm very interested in languages and cultures. Learning of new languages and discovery in the linguistic field always intrigue me.
