Translations
While there are many people trying to make a living in the translation business, it appears, that I am one who actually specializes in areas that are selected based on years of professional experience. I am a German native living and working in the US since 1991. As a chemist (Ph. D. from the University of Heidelberg, Germany) I have worked in the US biotech industry for the past 15 years (Oligonucleotides, small molecules, CMC). During that time I gained valuable experience and developed a passion for writing scientific publications and patent-related documents. I also wrote, reviewed and edited numerous regulatory documents related to drug development. I am now offering translation services to the scientific community recognizing that there is a need for technically sound and linguistically well-versed translation professionals.
The services that I am offering include translating, editing, proofreading and technical writing projects from English to German and German to English. Based on my technical background, I specialize in science related texts (patents, publications, dossiers, expert reports, etc.), e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, medicine, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology and related documents (press releases, financial reports, web sites, etc.).
