About me

I have been a free-lance translator for the past seven years, full-time since 2006, working mostly from Italian to English. I specialize in environmental issues, international development, natural history (particularly ornithology), and economics, with clients including international organizations (United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs), universities and research institutions, public administrations, and the private sector. My specialities are a result of my academic and professional background, which includes a PhD in political science (specializing in international environmental policy) and professional experience in both international organizations (Inter-American Development Bank) and academia (National Research Council of Italy). While earning a living as a translator, I continue to pursue research interests in natural history and publish regularly in the peer-reviewed literature.
