1. How can I edit the information in my Profile?

To edit your Profile, including language pairs, background, personal information, email settings, and more, you must log in and visit your Profile page. To do so, go to this page:

In the center column directly under your name, you will see these options:

Edit personal data - Use this to change your email address, mailing address, real name, username, and more
Edit email preferences - Use this to change your email setting, including KudoZ and job emails (More info)
Remove profile from database - This option will PERMANENTLY delete your account.
Edit your profile - Here you can set various options, and upload your resume, photo, audio or video

In both the left and right hand columns you will see links to edit various other settings. These include:

Edit languages - Here is where you set language pairs
Edit expertise - Set your areas of expertise
Edit software - Set what software you own
Create/Edit your site - Here you can set up your own ProZ.com site (HTML knowledge required)
Report accreditations - Enter your accreditations in each language pair
Edit memberships - Enter your memberships

To show languages of interest to your profile:
Go to the "Edit Languages" page, there is a toggle for "Show in profile" -when that is "No", the language is shown as Interest.

2. How can I receive more or fewer emails?

All email settings for your account can be set from the Edit email preferences link on your Profile page. This includes job and KudoZ emails. Note that emails are set per language pair, and depend on many factors (see "Why am I not receiving all job/KudoZ emails for my language pairs?"). Please allow up to 24 hours for the new settings to take effect.

3. Why am I not receiving all job/KudoZ emails for my language pairs?

Job emails

You should get all the job notices that match your profile.
The following criteria are used to determine whether or not a job matches your profile:

• Language pairs
  
• Areas of specialization
  
• Accreditation (verified or reported)
  
• Type of service (interpretation, etc.)
  
• Country of residence
  
• Tools owned (Star, Trados, etc.)
  
• Rates
  
• Membership level
  

Please note that if your profile does not match any of the above criteria, as specified by the job poster, you would not get email notification. (You may still quote, unless the outsourcer restricted quoting to qualified members).
If you believe that there have been jobs that match your profile, but which you were not notified of, please return to the postings and confirm the details.

KudoZ emails

KudoZ emails are subject to the following factors:

• Language pairs
  
• Areas of specialization
  
• Easy vs. Pro
  

If you believe that there have been KudoZ questions that match your profile, but which you were not notified of, please return to the questions and confirm the details.

4. How can I change my email address?

5. How can I join as a member (or renew my current membership)?

Joining as a member for the first time costs $129 USD / €114 EUR. If you renew before the end of your term, your yearly fee is $119 USD / €104 EUR. Further discounts are available for those with browniz; any applicable discounts will be shown on the page above.
