Dear Colleagues,

Upon retrieving a task and opening it, we cannot see the sourse and target columns in the main window whereas other panes (crossView, Search Center...) show their content as expected. We run Across under Windows XP Home SP3. Did anybody else encountered such a problem? Any advices? Could SP3 be the cause?

Thanks in advance!
Valentinas

View - Toolbars - CrossDesk Mode Oct 21, 2008

Just in case:
With the task open, go to View/Toolbars and check the CrossDesk mode.
Then you should be able to select either Correction, Edition or Combi Mode from the CrossDesk toolbar. The Correction Mode shows source and target text side by side. The Combi Mode offers the possibility to show the source and target text side by side while translating.

CrossDesk is active... Oct 22, 2008

Dear Liselotte,

Thank you for your answer.

CrossDesk toolbar is active by default. The problem is that the pane where the source and target texts should be shown is just empty. You can change the layout of those panes but it is empty anyway, although the task is opened, its tree is shown in crossView, you can even copy the source into the target editor, but you cannot see anything where the souce and target are to be aligned. Just empty.

Which workflow are you using, and could you possibly provide a little more detail, such as if it is a project created by you or did you receive it from a vernodr, etc?

Uwe
