I'm new to the whole freelance interpreting and translating business. Can anyone let me know what one must do to get ones credentials from a known organization.

A host of different ways Dec 10, 2003

There are a host of different ways to obtain credentials/qualifications as a translator/interpreter.

You can study translation/interpreting at a recognized university (I believe the Monterey Institute is a good school You could also consider taking the ATA accreditation exam (

Good luck!
