Help! How do I submit website\'s \"key words\" to non-English search engines for listing? Thread poster: Sophia Lansky
|
Hi, I am not sure that this is the right forum, but hope that you can give me some help with this. I don\'t know how to submit \"search words\" in languages other than English, for localized websites, to various search engines, in order to be listed. I, of course, mean Google and Yahoo and such, but also search engines that are monolingual.
Any suggestions? Thanks, Ada. | | | Magda Dziadosz Poland Local time: 09:10 Member (2004) English to Polish + ... Here you will find plenty of useful info | Aug 14, 2002 |

You can also check the possible results of search using your selected keywords: wordtracker will tell you how many websites will be shown if you type a given word. http://www.wordtracker.com/

to promote your site, the content in the page needs to be translated and the metatags as well. Spiders like google.com and alltheweb.com (both multilingual) will normally refresh its content and spider your site. To increase your ranking, you need to have as many links poiting to your site as possible. In order to inform robots that your page is localized, you will have to make sure that the language meta tag is inserted inside the tag of the page\'s html. In the case of a page in French for example, the tag will be:
Use content=\"de\" for German, \"es\" for Spanish, \"it\" for Italian, ...
