Not sure how much I agree with this, to be honest. I have worked with agencies who have never sent me anything to sign ( but always provide a PO via email with payment terms), and I have had no bother at all from them and always been paid by the date promised. The few agencies that have insisted I sign agreements have also been those agencies that have given me the most hassle and have paid me later than they originally agreed. I don't understand why I am expected to be willing to sign an agreement deciding who my clients can or cannot be over the next two years just because the agency's got a 50 euro job they want me to do today. Seems to be the way though with a few of them...................
