না, এই প্রশ্নটা তোলার কোনো কথাই না যদিনা এটা বাংলা ফোরাম হত। এমনিতেই আমরা এই ফোরামে বাংলায় লেখার বদলে অনেক সময় আমরা ইংরাজিতে লিখে থাকি। আসলে যত দিন যাচ্ছে, আমরা নিজেদের ভাষা-সংস্কৃতি থেকে দূরে সরে যাচ্ছি। এ যেন এক ধরনের স্বেচ্ছায় পরাধীনতা বরণ। এই প্রবণতা চলতে থাকলে এক দিন এমন আসবে যখন আর কেউ কোনো কিছু বাংলায় অনুবাদ করানোর প্রয়োজন বোধ করবেন না। এমনিতেই বাংলা মাধ্যমে পড়াশোনা করাতে মধ্যবিত্তদের সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ অংশ পছন্দ করেন না। সুতরাং এই প্রবণতা ঠেকাবে কে ?
অবশ্য এই যে এত অভিযোগ জানালাম, সেটা যতটা না ফোরামের বন্ধুদেরকে, তার চেয়ে বেশি নিজের বিবেককে। একে সমালোচনা, আত্ম-সমালোচনা এবং সতর্কবাণী-- যে যেভাবে খুশি নিতে পারেন। মোট কথা, লক্ষণ ভালো না।
