প্রিয় বন্ধুগণ,
আমি অভ্র কীবোর্ড ব্যবহার করি। আশা করি আপনারাও তা করেন। এতে ডিফল্ট রূপে "বৃন্দা" ফন্ট আছে যা ব্যবহারে আমি অভ্যস্ত। এতে সব অক্ষরই সুন্দর বোঝা যায় শুধু "ৎ" ছাড়া। এখানে পরিষ্কার আসছে কিন্তু যখনই MS Word-এ (t``) টাইপ করি একটা বিশাল আকারের "ৎ" চলে আসছে আর ফন্ট পালটে হয়ে যাচ্ছে "সিয়াম রূপালী"। আপনারা কি এই সমস্যার সম্মুখীন হয়েছেন? এর থেকে নিষ্কৃতি পাবার উপায় কি? অভ্র কীবোর্ড ফোরামে প্রশ্ন করেছিলাম কিন্তু উত্তর পাইনি। আপনারা যদি সমাধান করতে পারেন বিশেষ রূপে বাধিত হব।

I use Bengali IME from Bhashaindia (Microsoft). Amar sudhu word er end-e ৎ likhte problem hoy.

Virnda is not updated and does not contain "ৎ"

Hi Keshab da,
After long discussion with the Unicode Consortium, at last "ৎ" was included in the latest version of Unicode. The Vrinda font you are using is the old version and does not include "ৎ". To solve this problem, you have to use the updated version of Vrinda or you can use any other updated Unicode Bangla font that includes "ৎ". You can download some Unicode Bengali fonts for free from:

Vrinda 5.90 পাওয়া যাচ্ছে সন্দেহ নেই তবে কিনতে হবে @ $49.00। আমি Saleh Chowdhury-র প্রস্তাবটাই বেশি পছন্দ করি। কিন্তু সেক্ষেত্রে client-কে font-টাও পাঠিয়ে দিতে হয় কারণ এখনো font-টা ব্যাপক ভাবে প্রচলিত হয় নি।

আমি লাইনাক্স (তাও আবার বাংলায়) ব্যবহার করি, উইন্ডো নয় তাই এখনও পর্যন্ত ৎ নিয়ে সমস্যায় পড়ি নি। কিন্তু আমার বন্ধুরা যারা উইন্ডোস ব্যবহার করে তাদের কাছে শুনেছি SNLTR বলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের একটি সাইটে একটি ইউনিকোড ৫ কমপ্ল্যায়েন্ট টাইপিং ইউটিলিটি পাওয়া যায় যা দিয়ে েি সমস্যার "নাকি" সমাধার হয়।
আমি সাধারণত দেখেছি অনেকে ৎ, ড় ও ঢ় ক্যারেকটার ম্যাপ থেকে একটি ওয়ার্ড ফাইলে কপি করে রাখেন এবং সেটি ব্য়বহার করে থাকেন (Copy-Paste)।
