Can anyone provide information on the rules governing part-time freelancing in Austria? Particularly if one needs a "Gewerberschein" to perform freelance translation and how Taxation and insurance apply to individuals who are self-employed part time.

I've visited the WKO Salzburg website and I've collected some literature regarding the subject. The problem is, that to get answers to specific questions, one has to have a consultation. I just would like to hear from someone who has gone through the process so that I could refine the questions have or make sure I haven't overlooked any before taking the next step.
