Dear all, I have just been contacted from one of my customers from the Uk telling me he could not carry out a Bank transfer through his bank (citibank) and asking me if I was fine with receiving my payment through Money Gram from the Royal Mail Post Office. I am quite clueless about this bank and hope that any of you can tell me more about it: How much do they charge for payments to Germany?
I made it clear that all bank fees are to be born by the customer and he advised me to use Paypal

I made it clear that all bank fees are to be born by the customer and he advised me to use Paypal but honestly I am quite reluctant to accept any payments from PP due to bad previous experience.
Many thanks for all your helpful replies.

I have only ever received one payment via MoneyGram. This was from a client in Italy, to me in the UK.

I did get the full amount and all costs were borne by the client.

However the process is cumbrous. You have to physically go to the Post Office with documentation. If the documentation is not correct, the Post Office will not pay you until you come back with the correct documentation. If the payer did not complete the documentation correctly at their end, you have to contact them and persuade them to change it.

This insistence on correct documentation is, of course, a safeguard, and the system is safe.

Dear all! Thanks for your input. I have just received, hopefully, all required info from my customer and will go to the bank next week.
Keep you posted!
Have a good we!
