Hello there.

I am a frequent user of Dragon naturally speaking for dictating and currently thinking of updating my PC from prehistoric Windows 98 to a system with more memory (Dragon requires 128Mb of RAM minimum). Has anyone managed to successfully to install dragon on a new PC without having to retrain the program ie. can speech files be saved and how do you do this?

Would appreciate any replies from anyone who has had experience on this.

Best regards,

your voice DB is normally kept on the system Oct 22, 2004

This remains even as you uninstall or deinstall dragon. Similarly all voice profiles also remain. You may have to remove these manually. But if you are upgrading to a newer OS version, it is then adv. to install dragon ( raw install) and overwrite the initla voice db with a copy from the old system to retain your old configuration.
