We are a translation agency and we are going to quote for translation of a book comprising of about 170 pages (sociology) from English into German. Since this is the first time we are getting involved in translation of literature we need some help on what we should account for in our quote, i.e. can we or our freelancer reserve the copyright for the translation? How do we quote, per source word, per line, a fixed total price, etc.? Can we ask for a partial payment during the course of the trans... See more
