Hi folks,

I\'ve got a question...

As a freelancer, I\'ve come to realize that I\'m very good at translation but

lousy at marketing my services. Aside from sending my resume to every agency

in the world and shaking the trees for work by myself, is there a better way

to keep my plate full while maximizing the time spent translating. I\'m

thinking along the lines of letting someone else fill my schedule for me

(for a fee), so that I can focus on translation and little else.

I know that what I\'m describing is what agencies do for the most part, but

their focus is on filling their plates, not mine. And there are so many of

them that keeping up with them is a job in itself also.

Have any of you had similar thoughts, and is such an intermediate agent a

good idea?

Thanks in advance

To be a member of different organizations involved with the translation/writing business will get your name included in their directories. You could also have a URL for your personal advertising on the internet. None of this is free, of course.

Aside from that - It takes little time to formulate a CV with cover letter that can be mass-mailed to agencies, the addresses of these can be found on the \"Blue Board\".
