Hi everyone,

I have been using Trados 7 with an older version of Office (XP), but now I got Office 2007. I was wondering if any of you had this problem: when trying to use Trados with the new Word, i.e., when you try to open a segment, the first letter of the first word becomes highlighted in grey. Nothing else happens...
Am I doing something wrong? Do you think I should reinstall Trados before I expect it to work properly or do you think there is something in Word that is preventing the document from working with Trados (some text protection option, or something similar)?

I would really appreciate if you could lend me a hand. I really have lots to learn about Office 2007, (it changed so much!) so it's probably something easy to solve...

Cheers and have a nice evening

T.

Trados 7 and Office 2007 are not compatible Oct 19, 2008

So you will have to upgrade Trados (or downgrade Office).

Again, as in many other cases, looking for compatibility information (for example here on ProZ) before upgrading would have saved you some troubles.
