Impossible to open the TM sent by the customer.

I have Translator freelance 3 and I do not know which version the customer has. He has sent me a test to do, but I cannot open the TM.
I continually get the same message.
(500022) This version of workbench doesn't support v5.000 translation memories.
Is there a way to convert, I cannot even export the TM in the Bloc note.

Help!!!!!!

Translation memories: A new memory created in Translator's Workbench 5.x cannot be opened in Translator's Workbench 2.x/3.x. This is because version 5.x memories are encrypted by default to ensure increased data protection. To send a Translator's Workbench 5.x memory to someone who is working with Translator's Workbench 2.x/3.x, you need to export the contents of the memory to a TXT file, and send it that way. The contents of the TXT file can then be imported into an Edition 2.x/3.x memory. By contrast, you can open a memory created in Translator's Workbench 2.x/3.x in TRADOS 5.x without any problems. Using the translation memory in TRADOS 5.x does not change the memory version in any way: the memory can still be opened as normal in Translator's Workbench 2.x/3.x.

Try to open it with (an unregistered version of) Wordfast Jun 15, 2003

Wordfast often succeeds in opening Trados 5 memories like you received. Export the Wordfast TM as TMX and check if the language codes are Trados compatible. Import in TWB3.
