Which CAT tool works with .sql files?

Hello,

I have a site to translate and the problem is that the text is represented as a series of HTML strings inside SQL queries. I'd like to know if there exists a CAT tool that would allow me to extract the text from these queries.

Thanks in advance!
Galina

Would be willing to try on memoQ Oct 19, 2011

If this is something your customer would allow, I will be happy to try the files with memoQ and see whether the tool an import them easily or with some tweaking. Just email me with one sample file if you think it is a good idea.

MetaTexis Oct 19, 2011

Hello Galina,

in MetaTexis you can define a user-defined document type, that allows you to define specific ares to be translated (e.g. test between quotation marks).

You need to try if MetaTexis suits your need in this very special case.

Best regards
Hermann

Likewise, if you want me to try them in WFC or OmegaT, send me the files (if you're allowed to do so).

Thank you all! Oct 20, 2011

Thank you all for your ideas and offers to help, I never expected that someone would be ready to waste his personal time on a complete stranger!
Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share source files, but I will most certainly look into the software you mentioned. And OmegaT is free, which makes it ideal for experimenting.
Thanks again and good day to all of you!
