Need Help converting a TagEditor file from TRADOS 6.5 into XML file

I received a file from a client, XML file, translated it in TagEditor (no problems), saved as XML....but the client can not open it. They said their end-client claims it can be saved in Notepad or similar. Can this somehow be converted? Can someone help? Thank you.
