reply about OmegaT Yahoo group Dec 21, 2005

OmegaT too has a group:

OmegaT is a Translation Memory (TM) tool, not a Machine Translation (MT) tool.

Many of the TM tools (WordFast, Trados WB, SDLX, Transit) have had active Yahoo user groups for a couple of years.

These Yahoo Groups for MT tools are a more recent initiative to do the same for MT tools which has been seen to be quite helpful and successful for TM tools.

fixed the link problem with PROMT user groups subscribe address Dec 21, 2005

There seems to be a bug in the display of PROMT subscribe address here on ProZ. Maybe there are certain sequences of letters that are prohibited and that PROMT address contains the sequences. I tried several different options, but finally just putting parentheses around it makes the information display, although there is no embedded link.

I have recently placed a 5-page report, describing the details of difference at various levels between Reverso v5 and PROMT XT v6, at both the PROMT users and Reverso users Yahoo groups indicated above.
