Hi everyone!
I'm just starting as a new member and I'm getting lost with the glossary post.
I'd like to export automatically my multiterm termbase to glosspost on Proz . I've already been spending hours and so far I don't see any progress.
Questions: -which format should I convert the termbase into? - which export definition for proz?
Any suggestion is welcomed!
Thanks a lot
Eulalie

Do export in MultiTerm using Tab-delimited export

once you have the text file, you can upload it in ProZ. But probably this isnot a problem.
I would suggest you wait a little for ProZ to catch up - it may well be , that every one of your tries was successxful and you may have a dozen of identical entries on your hand, once the backlog clears.

Hi,
Thanks Vito for your reply. It seems it still doesn't work.
When I have the dialog box "export entries - I click tab-delimited export - then PROCESS - I save the file as text file (*txt.) - then NEXT - and FINISH
On proz, I go on AUTOMATIC ENTRIES - UPLOAD glossary - and NEXT
at the end I have a something which doesn't look like a glossary with lots of numbers and questions marks.

Glossary upload

Hi Eulalie,
what you explain seems to be the correct procedure to upload a glossary.
But, as you say there is full of question marks and strange characters, etc., perhaps you should verify if the glossary is really plain vanilla text or that it has not been saved with a strange code like ISO-88599-9.
I don't guess, but who knows. Mr. Gates software behaviour is always a mistery or a miracle...... See more
