Hola a tothom,
Soc àngles, llicenciat en filologia castellà i català. Estic a punt de fer un MSc. en Traducció tecnic a Londres amb intenció d'anar a Barcelona per a treballar com traductor castellà>angles.
Evidentment el meu català necesiteix molta practica i faig massa temps sense practicar. Meu pregunta es si hi ha algún mercat per les traduccions català>angles

Benvingut al nostre gremi ! Hi ha mercat, pero en comparació amb el castellá, pot ser que sigui més limitat. Pero les agencies en comparació, accepten preus més elevats.

Crec que aproximadament el 25% del meu treball són traduccions del català a l'anglès (o potser un poc més). Així que sí, hi ha mercat però és útil tenir també altres combinacions lingüístiques.

Moltes gracies para les teves informacions!
Tinc dues preguntes mes:
1) El mercat de traducions Català>Anglès - hi ha alguns sectors en particular que tenen mès importancia (els negocis, la ciencia, el dret....)?
2) Hi ha alguns programs de capacitació pels traductors amb titols en altres combinacions? Un traductor titulat qui treballa amb Castellà>Anglès (per exemple) pugui fer un curs per a treballa desde el Català
