我是一个proz.com的新手，很多规则还不是很熟悉。
大家来proz.com的目标很明确，希望能够利用这个平台扩大自己的业务来源，结识更多翻译界的朋友，共同提高。
但是，如何通过Proz.com接单子呢？ 报价有无技巧？

First of all, welcome to Proz!
I see that you have put up a comprehensive profile. Good! This is really the first step. Now you will have to do some so-called groundwork. Participate in Kudoz and forums (not only our Chinese forum), send in your applications under the "Application" function (Jobs > Applications), etc.
Kudoz is important because Kudoz points affect your ranking in clients' search lists. The more points you have, the earlier you appear in the list. Furthermore participating in Kudoz earns you Browniz which can be used to pay for Proz membership. Personally I think it is worth investing in a membership. You do not have to go for a full membership for now; you can consider a Job membership. Translators in China get a special membership price, if I am not wrong. I can't access this information as I am not in China. You should be able to find this information somewhere in the My Proz.com tab (see top right corner).
Participating in forums increases your visibility. When colleagues see you around often, they will probably remember you and one day contact you for jobs.
So these are two things you may want to work on first. Good luck and have fun!

我的profile可能还有进一步完善的需要，如果发现什么不足，我要随时改善。
你提到的Kudoz的问题，我对这个Kudoz还是很感兴趣的。不仅是因为自己在翻译的过程中经常会碰到一些疑难问题需要和同仁切磋才能解决，更重要的是Kudoz的挑战性。有些专业性比较强的东东，需要动用很多资料，查找很多资料才能进一步明确。 呵呵，在这个过程中，可以了解很多知识，扩大自己的知识面。

这几天总是在proz.com论坛上混
发现了一个问题，如果在kudoz上针对问题提供答案，系统的给分不仅相同，有的是4分，有的是5分，还有一个小小的疑惑，如果"agree"的话，又没有分数送呢？

我也是新手，试着回答一下。
首先这个分数分成两种，一个是KudoZ point, 就是你回答别人的问题，问问题的人同意你的答案了，就会给你加分。这个不是你回答问题就能拿分的，关键看你的回答有没有被认同。到底是4分还是5分我就不知道了，还没注意到这个。KudoZ point好像是可以反映你的翻译能力的，大概就是分越多，说明你越强。
第二个是BrowniZ point，这个好像是回帖就有3分。多写几个字好像也还是3分。这个分好像可以用来quote job，和抵会员费，不过抵会员费那个要4000分。我也不知道3分一个回帖要回到什么时候。
这都是我自己的理解，也不知道对不对，你参考下吧。

这两周，很多时间都花费在proz.com上面了。
“磨刀不误砍材工”，首先，我把论坛里的帖子几乎通读了一遍，还在有些帖子上留下了一些爪印。
proz.com上，很多客户都要求译员会使用trados，又费了九牛二虎之力下载了一个traods软件。 呵呵，已经好久不动手装软件了，没有想到竟然装成功了。仔细研究了几天，发现这个东西有很多便利之处。当务之际，是先把自己以前翻译的资料拉出来，把词汇整理一下。
呵呵，看来的确是“活到老，学到老”。

還是一些問題:
1.我還是user身份,不知如果加入了member,是否容易接到工作呢?
2.如果我要求客戶將翻譯費匯入我的本地銀行,那麼手續費該由誰付呢?
3.job membership可否看到blue board的內容呢?
4.關於Moneybookers, 之前有前輩推介用MB, 如果我不將我的護照或身分証資料掃瞄給他們,是不是每90日只有1800美元呢?怎樣提款呢?

最近很闲，一直在网上逛来逛去。突然想明白这4分和5分是怎么回事了。在回答问题的时候，我们要选一个confidence level， 我想如果你选了最高级就是5分，如果次一级就是4分。

Hi all,
Actually it is the asker who decides the number of points to give. If he/she finds the answer very helpful, he/she may give 4 points (maximum); if it is not so helpful but he/she still wants to thank the answerer through Kudoz points, he/she may give 1 point (minimum). Kudoz points have nothing to do with the confidence level.

现在词汇问题可以在Kudoz里面寻找答案，但是，如果对于一些复杂的句子在翻译中见遇到困难，在该网站上，通过那哪个模块进行解决呢?
我发现在翻译的过程中，同一个短语在不同的语境中往往有不同的意思，因此，正确理解上下文的句子结构也是至观重要的，显然，这些句子结构的问题是不可能在kudoz中向广大网友寻求帮助的哦。

刚才查看了一下kudoz的“提问上限”， 有关内容的如下所述：
31. 提问：是否有提问数量上限？
是的。您的每日（以最近24小时计算）最高限额取决于您的会员等级。若您未在ProZ.com上注册，每天只能提出一（1）个问题。若您已注册，但不是付费会员，则最多可以提五（5）个问题。若您为会员，则可以提十五（15）个问题。另外注册非会员用户每星期的最高限额是20个问题，付费会员的最高限额是60个问题。若您的问题中有十（10）个已获得有效答案但您未能在一周内关闭该问题，则您无法再次提问。请对上述问题评分，以继续提问。
这个“最近的24小时计算”如何理解，我的理解是：如果我在今天上午10：00钟（呵呵，北京时间）开始提出问题，到11：00为止一共提出了5个问题（由于我是注册非会员，一天只能提出5个问题），那是不是就意味着我要到明天中午10：00钟（还是北京时间）之后才能开始重新提出问题？

You can post these questions in the forum for discussion. Alternatively you can post them as Chinese-Chinese questions.
