I have no idea what goes on behind the scene either. But to understand where some of the sparring - for lack of a better description - is coming from, you almost need to be a resident forum participant.

我正在北京品尝伊利牛奶，准备有空时进哪座宫去逛逛。:D
说起来可能会令人很扫兴，此论坛上许多连篇累牍传经布道的文章，在北京是难以看到的。所以，某些人最好采纳婷婷的“请移师天涯论坛”的建议，免得浪费感情和精力。
昨天，我特地去了趟北航，发现与我上次来时又大不一样。我在北航照了些照片，待我输入电脑后发给你（我来时忘带把照片输入电脑的连线了）。

Chameleon's dish is called "Northwest Wind" in Taiwan. When the Northwest Wind comes, it is hard time for farmers in Taiwan. So, we have an expression for people who haven't earned their living: 只好喝西北风.
