I am a "first time user on this forum and I hope someone could help me.
I am using the CorelDraw software and now, I have to design business card and flyers wit Chinese Characters. I have special software for writing Chinese Characters as the "Wenlin" (very good) and I am using the NJStar Chinese Wordporcessor too. I can copy and any Chinese Characters from these softwares and paste into the Microsoft Office 2000, but unfortunatelly this not working with the Corel Draw. I went through many different ways, but as I paste it in the Corel, some funny characters are coming up. Maybe somebody can help me with some advise.
Have a nice day,
Laszlo

In fact, I use rarely CoralDraw, even if I know it is a very good graphic tool. I am not good at graphic design at all !
I just checked the "help" in CoralDraw, it is clearly explained. But I have only a French version, it is difficult for me to tell you with the correct English words.
Select the text, then CTRL+Cap+T to launch "Text Editor" to check the "help".
Hope the specialists as Li Bin and Kevin can help you !
Good luck !

I guess Corel Draw 9 may be a little too old. My version of Corel Suite 10 was released in 2000. Version 9 was probably released in 1997 or 1998. At that time, most programs were not capable of producing multilingual files.
You need to make sure to use 宋体 or Simsun font. In Corel Draw 10, when you input Chinese, the program automatically use Chinese fonts. In early days, the Windows System font always gave low resolution BMP picture of Chinese characters.
Check and see if your current font is System. If it is, chnage it to Songti or Simsun. That might help.
