今天收到一个老客户的邮件，说有一个文件要用 illustrator翻译，先给我传看了PDF格式的，文字不是很多，但是图片十分大而且有许多，说是交稿的时候一定要是illustrator的。请教各位，怎么使用 illustrator翻译，是先用Trados翻译好再用illustrator编辑还是直接用illustrator打开翻译好保存？？？最后应该是什么样的格式？本人对illustrator一窍不通，只是下载个这个软件，希望知道的指点一二，不胜感谢。

但是Illustrator格式就是Illustrator自己的.ai格式，那是一种类似PDF但又不等于PDF的东西。

Illustrator文件扩展名是.ai，我以前接ai文件时都是直接在Illustrator中翻译，因为项目都非常小，又稍微懂一点点排版。
如果你文件大，建议试试这个帖子中讨论的ECM-Plug-in，如果文件小，又有一定的排版基础（如使用过photoshop之类的软件），可以试试去摸索一下Illustrator，无非是将英文替换成中文再稍作修改，不会很难。
