My first order from DangDang has only just arrived... Talk about putting something on a slow boat.
One of the CD's is by an artist 刀郎. I didn't know him from Adam; but I ordered the CD because of this song, a song I heard and liked way back when I was still in junior high.

Thanks for the additional links that provided some background on this song. In my opinion the above quote from 田歌 is not only a reflection on his modesty, but also the honest truth that the song is more than just a love song.
I find the songs that "move" me the most usually need something more than a beautiful melody and lyrics to "motivate" me.
BTW, 郭兰英、马玉涛、李双江、蒋大为 的 CDs 我都买了. 刀郎几首歌我也很欣赏
