Well, looking back in those years when 祖國的愛國志士投入台灣的懷抱, you might find ridiculous about those fusses expressed in such songs as 台灣好. Nowadays, there isn't any one to be rescued over there on the other side of the Strait and there isn't any one to be praised on this side of the Strait. 台灣什麼都不好了. What a pity for those song writers and composers of those days!
But, it's great for me for I see an opportunity of reconciliation among former enemies. When those people find the deeds were ridiculous, they might calm down and take a closer look of the same prejudices going on against people who happened to be under their rule and turn to be overpowered.
Maybe they will see the extremities of prejudices just turned their pre-signs from + to - and start to think what an opportunity it is to reconcile with the present enemies. Then, there will be some better songs to sing.

What I meant was the lyrics provided don't exactly match what the artist was singing.
Since most of us understand Chinese pretty well, I wasn't gonna spend time and correct the discrepancies as I sometimes do with the English lyrics ... And most of the times I don't bother to do that either BTW
