Hi everybody,

I'm experiencing a problem when importing STF files in Chinese (DBCS) back into FrameMaker 7.1 (English version supporting Chinese) using Trados S-Tagger for FrameMaker 6.5.5. All imported characters are corrupted. Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Usually that will happen when you first flow the text back into FrameMaker. All you need to do is to select all text and change the default Roman font to a Chinese font. There is combined font feature in FrameMaker. You can create a combined font comprising of a Chinese font and a Roman fonts so that in the text, Chinese text will be display with the Chinese font and English text will be displayed in the English font. As we all know, if you use Chinese font to display English text, it will look ugly. The combined font feature solves this problem once and for all.

谢谢你的建议。我按照你说的方法试了,可还是不行。在应用combined font之后,汉字依然不能显示。后来不得不请别人帮忙。
