While the pixel count has increase in all digital cameras, I would encourage you to buy your next one that has at least 5 x optical zoom lens, because the optical enlargment is the true enlargment, while digital magnification is just a comprimise using computer rendering.

As everyone saying here, I also want to tell you that it is a very impressive shot. I like it, too. Did you crop the picture? It looks shorter in height. It does give an impression of panorama. I wonder if you would consider to try a filter next time, perhaps you get rid of the haze, and make the sky cleaner and bluer. Nowadays you can also do many of those tricks in PhotoShop.
I am also a self-trained photographer, mostly for weddings. It is a depressing business, because I often found those couples I took wedding photos for were separated or divorced a few years later. It is hard for me to look at my portfolios. In the past ten years, I invested too much in my Minolta cameras and accessories. Now I play with the digital camera only. In the past two years, I have been using Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717, 5.0 Mega pixels. Yes, it is considered very old and it’s the time to change. The digital cameras are developed too fast, and I will be careful with my investment on the next digital camera.

wherestip, I have not that DVD. Actually I am just like ABBA, but I am not an ABBA fan. I heard their song Happy New Year in my childhood, and it accompanid me in most of my past time.

Like the wikipedia page says, they were more of a studio band than a live band, meaning their success came more from their studio recordings and videos shown on Eurovision than live performances.
Their sound certainly had to have a universal appeal to attain the worldwide success they did. I myself like their song "Thank You for the Music"

Many thanks for the link, Steven! You see, I have been a big fan of ABBA since my university days in Taiwan. "Thank You for the Music" is also one of my favorites. Their passion to music is just the same as my passion to languages, words and the rhythem of speech acts. So I say, thank you for the languages for giving it to me! What a joy, what a life, what a chance!

That reminds me of my selling PCs to the Soviets late 80's. They paid in peat! I sold it to some horticultural enterprises in Greece and made some more profit out the deal. Those were happy days!
