其实，近来“小资”又变成贬义词了，特指那些没有太多钱却又浅薄虚荣、追求时尚的人。假如某人自称“小资”，往往带有自嘲意味；要是说别人“小资”，那几乎就是当面骂人了。现在比较流行“中产”，指的是有房有车、模仿西方生活方式的人，与“middle class”的原意完全背离。

“腐败”现在也指官员的腐败，只是使用频率有所下降，可能因为其最初的含义主要指生活上的享受，如大吃大喝、找女人、收受高档礼品等，而现在官员堕落的主要形式是“贪污XXX万；来源不明的财产YYY万”，单纯吃喝玩乐已经不算什么了。至于网络上以“腐败（FB）”表示“享乐”，我的理解是：以前大家都穷，下馆子啦、出去旅游啦、买高档生活用品啦，只有官员才有机会享受（腐败）；此外还有等级制的残余，比如处级干部以下就不能坐软卧，只有领导可以坐小轿车，等等。现在，老百姓也有机会享受这些东西了，故称之为“腐败”。这一用法没有贬义，甚至还带一点沾沾自喜的味道。
