我前段时间学做寿司来着 Mar 24, 2008

特意从网上买了海苔、寿司廉,尝试了一回。味道一般。我妈说好吃。我妹妹说不够好看。

这两天有点空闲时间,约了朋友明天出去打牙祭。还是花钱吃省事。:-D

在电烤箱中做面包 Mar 24, 2008

我最近开始在电烤箱中做面包,大受妻儿的欢迎。
和上牛奶、鸡蛋和白糖,用发酵粉把面发起来。220度的温度下,下火5分钟,上下火10分钟,最后下火5分钟。
省钱、可口。

不知你们有没有做面包的妙招?

梅菜扣肉 Mar 25, 2008

上好带皮五花肉,梅干菜,酱油20克,料酒清油;
把肉皮刮洗净,放入冷水锅中,煮至八成熟,捞出擦去肉皮上的水,抹上酱油;
将清油热至八成热,将五花肉炸至深红色,捞出晾凉,切成大片;将肉皮朝下整齐地码在高压锅,肉上放梅干菜,均匀倒入酱油和料酒,蒸30分钟至肉软烂,肥而不腻,哈哈。

你是不是说海苔受污染?做寿司是为了好玩,吃嘛倒无所谓。

今天又去新开的一家粤菜餐厅吃饭。真好吃!

我是从来没吃过. The idea of eating raw fish is not appealing to me at all, contaminated or not.

Now I understand there's a misconception over here about what sushi is.

In Japanese cuisine, sushi (寿司, 鮨, 鮓, sushi) is vinegared rice, usually topped with other ingredients including fish (cooked or uncooked) and vegetables. Outside of Japan, sushi is sometimes misunderstood to mean the raw fish by itself, or even any fresh raw-seafood dishes. In Japan, sliced raw fish alone is called sashimi and is distinct from sushi, as sashimi is the raw fish component, not the rice component.

不过,这边很多加工好地做面点的powder,做起来很容易。我最喜欢吃的是corn bread,制作简便,把买来得 corn bread powder加牛奶一搅拌,放到toaster里,等20几分钟,就好了。

you are telling me you never tried Sushi? Impossible. You are completely americanized. One of the scary food I have ever tried is drunken shrimp. You need to take it literally this time. Its really live shrimp put in a bowl of liquor. You eat it while its still alive. It sounds scary, but I have to say its 超好吃.

Never. That doesn't mean I've never eaten Japanese before. Smoked salmon maybe, but that's my limit as far as raw seafood goes.

PK书照片里的醉虾 Mar 25, 2008

看着有点慎人。我当时吃的虾比照片里的丰满一点,颜色也浅很多,基本上根超市卖的活虾差不多。不说虾了,最近发现了一道制作简单,有可口的方便食品。乌东面。做的时候在汤里再放点韩国的fishcake,出乎意料的好吃。

最近还特别爱吃雪里蕻咸菜,几个星期前才知道,美国这边的雪里蕻大多是小芥菜做的。
