Dear All, it seems the same question. Now I finished translation and could not export the xls file then. It prompts "switch to " and "try later" again. Could anybody provide any advice then ? Your problems are probably because the file is huge (not just in terms of number of lines but in terms of bytes. How big is it, in fact?). Try the following: a) create a new translation memory, assign it to the project, and send the whole project (and nothing else) to the translation memory. That way the translation memory is a copy of all your work. b) try importing a copy of the file and pretranslate using "insert only exact matches". You should get all the translation (or nearly all - you may need to do Ctrl+S to get some) straight back out of your translation memory. Then try exporting this file. c) if b) doesn't work, make a copy of your original file and break it into parts (either a number of sheets or a number of rows and columns). Import all the parts, pretranslate as above and export each part separately. Another possibility is to see if there is anything in the file (image, link etc) which is obviously making it huge and deleting it from the version you import. Hope this helps! ▲ Collapse | | | Carol Chen China Local time: 23:07 English to Chinese TOPIC STARTER A lot of thanks! | Nov 17, 2008 |

This is essential, since any slight modification to the file may prevent Déjà Vu X Professional from being able to export the final translation." So if you have ...
