I've received a docx.ttx file (a docx file in tageditor format). Now I would like to pretranslate it, but all my attempts are useless. Now I got a file wich is source and target, but when I try to import it into DVX to work it out, it states 0 words and it doesn't open.
The same happened with an xml file in tageditor, but probably there I forgot to insert the ini file.
How can I manage it?
Thanks

Hi Lucia,
If the ttx file has been presegmented in Trados (using the "segment unknown sentences" option, I believe), it should import into DVX2. Trados TTX should be displayed in the DVX2 file properties. You may need to ask your client to check the file.
Best Regards

Why should the client check the file? Lucia states clearly on her profile that she is working with Trados. As a client I would expect that a translator claiming to work with Trados would be able to open my TTX files in TRADOS. | | | |

I can work in Trados and I mightn open/process the file.
My question is: how to pretranslate the file, so that I can have both source and target and view the pretranslated file in DVX
Thanks

Trados Workbench, Tools, Translate.
Select your files (you can also drag an drop 'em in the Translate window).
Set a sound match value, the default 70% is often too high for some languages, normally I use something like 60-65% (of course, if you want leverage only exact matches, set 100%).
Check the Segment unknown sentences checkbox (mandatory).
Click Translate.
Done.
Cheers

Thanks for your help. I think the problems still concerns my way to pretranslate files in WB. I'll check in the SDL manual to see how to manage this.

Try also to rename the TTX file i.e. shorten it.
Some TTX files with very long names refuse to import in DVX.
Very few examples I'm aware contain multiple hyphens and brackets but I don't see the pattern.
Cheers
