Handling decimal separator in Deja Vu?

Hi all,

Trados has a feature that automaticall replaces the decimal and thousands separator according to the target language settings.

Using that, the numbers in a text are more or less pre-translated and the translator doesn't have to spend time altering these.

By default, segment containing numbers only are therefore not counted in Trados.

Now I wonder if Deja Vu has any equivalent function. Can the decimal separator be set automatically? And is it possible to ignore segments containing numbers only?

Thanks a lot in advance!

/Jan

Unlike Trados, DVX does count numbers Dec 5, 2006

Decimal conversions can be (de-)activated in this checkbox:
Menu/Tools/Options/General/Conversions/Allow decimal conversions

DVX does not skip segments containing numbers only, but you can select whether it will ignore them in the terminology check via this checkbox:
Menu/Tools/Options/General/Terminology Checks/Also check numerals

Sort by alpha -> right-click -> Finished -> Natural sort. Numbers are out of your way if you're using Alt-Arrow down.

... and then select "All except Locked rows" in the rows selector and you won't even see the numbers any more. You could also mark tables containing just numbers or other chunks of untranslatable text as hidden text in Word before importing and check "Ignore hidden text" in the import filter.
