In some books, usually non-fiction, an important sentence from that page is inserted in its own box in order to stand out from the rest of the text. What is this called and does MS Word have this feature?

You can create a simple text box and then adjust how the rest of the text of the page wraps around it:

Yes, you can use a simple text box, but that is a lot of work if you have one pull quote on every page of a long book. I'm hoping for a feature that will automatically put the pull quote on the same page that the quote comes from and will automatically adjust it during formatting and resizing of the entire book. MS Word has a head word feature that I have used before when making dictionaries. It puts the first and last entry word of a page in the header and footer and automatically updates it when you reformat the page size etc.

Thanks for providing the term "pull quote". It will make it easier to find what I want now.
