What is the oficial usage for English addresses in the province of Quebec?



Would a French address like \"7400, boul. Les galeries d\'Anjou, bureau 410, Anjou (Québec) H1M 3M2\" become \"7400 Les galeries d\'Anjou Blvd, Suite 410, Anjou (Quebec) H1M 3M2\" in English? or must the address stay in French, even in an English text?

Las direcciones no se traducen, ¿por qué? por que cómo rayos va a saber el cartero dónde tiene que entregar la correspondencia.

Mi dirección es Jardines de Borinquen y no Borinquen Gardens...

Canada is a bilingual country. You can (in theory) use either French or English for any postal address in Canada.

This is correct, except that it would be *Anjou, Quebec* rather than *Anjou (Québec)* and, since Anjou is actually in Montreal, it should read *Montreal, Quebec*. The postal code will get it to the right address in any case.

Canada Post has guidelines that deal with the translation of envelope addresses, among other things. For example: \"The only street types that may be translated are:

ST = RUE

AVE = AV

BLVD = BOUL\"
