Opera doesn't seem to like proz.com! When I push the green left arrow to go back on the proz.com site I get a blank page. This doesn't happen on any other website (so far). What's going on?

Thanks for any ideas you may have.

I should have mentioned the version. It's 9.27 and should be the most recent as I only downloaded it a week ago or so.

I had the same problem for several days with my previous version of Opera (9.22), updated Opera to version 9.50 but it still tends to get suspended (it doesn't at other websites), although it doesn't come back to a blank page anymore - it just refuses to move. Finally, I opened ProZ.com with Internet Explorer and it works OK but I'd rather have a possibility to open ProZ with the use of a browser of my choice.

I encounter this problem too. Besides it refused to download yesterday. Although by the end of the day the problem seemed to be rectified yet it did not redirect to the previous page. Do you think the ProZ IT guys did something wrong? Or it's a part of a global conspiracy with Mr. Gates?

I also have 9.25 and the same problem - every time I press Back to return to previous page it goes blank. Didn't have this problem yesterday though.

Me, too Jun 10, 2008

I, too, have been experiencing this problem over the last few days but thought it was something on my computer at first, although the WXP installation is quite fresh (2 weeks at most) and I have the necessary security software installed (AV and antispyware). Good to know it wasn't what I feared it might be.

Yes, mine started doing this (Sunday, I think it was).

Someone (maybe Jason?) once told me that Opera used a different type of HTML coding to IE, but I have never had major issues with Opera/ProZ. As Azalea says, it's only ProZ that disappears when you hit the back button.

Maybe some maintenance was done over the weekend?

Cheers
Chris

As an ex-lover of Opera, I'd recommend Firefox :-) Jun 10, 2008

Firefox rocks my socks (I can't remember where I've seen that, but it's true).

Really, I was with Opera until 9.21 (I guess), but now I find that FF + a handful of add-ons is a better tool.

Sorry, I know it's off-topic, but still: think!

Speed dial Jun 10, 2008

I like Firefox, too, but I simply cannot do without the speed dial of Opera

In my case Proz= 4+ enter. Wham!

Go to the bank, go here, go there etc. etc. Even our supermarket that delivers is stashed there.

IE takes just a tad longer...

Cheers

Different problem with version 9.5 Jun 13, 2008

Hi,

I had the same problem with version 9.25 and I just updated to the new 9.5 version where it seems to be solved, as I can go back to the previous page.
Unfortunately, there is still something wrong because once I hit Back, I can't go to any other page by clicking on a link, I have to refresh the display (and reload the page) to make it work again. Strange...
