have found a new way to spam- they are posting their spam as questions, see:

http://www.proz.com/kudoz/464588

Some way to stop this has to be found, before questions area is not taken over by Viagra and various enlargement offers…

Hi Uldis,
First of all, your posting would have been more appropriate in the "KudoZ" forum - perhaps a ProZ.com staff member could kindly move it there?

This is not the first time KudoZ questions have been abused for purposes they were not designed for, but we have a "way to stop this": in more active communities, there are a sufficient number of members with squashing rights, plus there are moderators around. That's not the case for Latvian>Russian, of course - I have cross-posted this on the moderators' list.

Best regards, Ralf

Yes, Ralf, of course, Jun 24, 2003

but the spam was in Latvian, and I'm afraid there are no moderators understanding it.
Of course, if it were any of mayor languages, it would be squashed outright, but if spammers will start posting in Finnish, Hungarian and like...
And sorry for posting it to this forum, I'm not so used to forums classification

Spam and more commercial tricks... Jun 24, 2003

Have a look at this: http://www.proz.com/job/38232

If you follow the link provided you'll have to fill out various forms collecting personal data.
After finishing that time-consuming process you're presented another form: You're required to register with some agencies - for cash.

I informed Henry about that: No reaction.

That's why we have Jobs Area coordinators Jun 24, 2003

I informed Henry about that: No reaction.

Did you submit a support request?

If Henry wanted to deal with each problem and each inquiry personally, he'd be answering emails 24/7. That's why we have moderators and coordinators for each part of the site - looking at Jobs, all you have to do is to look up the coordinators (Jobs - Team), and contact either Giuliana or myself. Had you decided to pass the information to either of us, we could have already arranged to have that job closed.

Note that I added a moderator's note to the tag line.

Thank you for your cooperation in future.
Ralf

Contact me directly Jun 24, 2003

Hi again, Uldis,
but the spam was in Latvian, and I'm afraid there are no moderators understanding it.

Looks like you're right. Please contact me through my profile (I guess you have my email address as well) and let me know what's in there.

And sorry for posting it to this forum, I'm not so used to forums classification

No big deal - just trying to make sure postings get to the right audience.

Cheers, Ralf
