Dear All,
I have bought a domain for my website: www.alialsaqqa.com
Except one image, the rest of the site is plain text.
Yet I feel it is too slow for such low density. I am not sure if this is host service's server problem.
(For your info, I am registered with www.weebly.com , they provided me a discount for buying
the domain through them, it cost $26.77 for one year).
So please, if anyone could just check the site and tell me if it is really slow or not. Please also
tell me what is your DSL speed.
Regards,
Ali

Thank you, but is "14 mbps" considered very high in Canada ?
Because in the Arab World anything more than 1mbps is really high.

Ali,
Your pages come up fast. I downladed a sampe pdf and it was also very fast.
I see no problems with it at 2mps

if a 2mbps finds it very fast, then I believe there will be no "major" speed problem with 512kbps.
Anyone with speed less than this is really obsolete.

Yes, 14 Mbps is high, not standard. A variety of options are available here, depending on where you live (rural or urban area) and how much you want to spend on an internet connection. I live in a small city and have opted for the high-end "Turbo DSL", which gives me 14 Mbps download speed.
I measure my speed every now then through http://www.bandwidthplace.com/

The speed is great and the price too! I paid US $ 39.95 for the domain and additional US $ 47.88 for the pro account, in order to get rid of the line “Create a free website with Weebly”.

As far as I can tell, the main problem with your site is this statement, alongside text about the proz.com 'pro' scheme and the proz.com 'P' logo:

Since when has proz.com certified anything remotely connected with EN standards?

Thanks for letting me know that the speed is good.
As for the price, I wouldn't have thought about buying the domain from them (weebly) if they
hadn't offered me the 13% or so discount. Why not contacting them and asking for a discount next time?
